Scaffolding Strikes Again

Posted on 6 October 2011 by Matthew Hall

Having visited china earlier this year, one of my highlights was always going to be a trip to the CCTV Building, Beijing by the legendary dutch architect Rem Koolhaas (OMA). With pregnant wife in tow, trawling through intense heat and humidity we finally get there to find it’s hidden by a huge wall, heavy security and is in the middle of a building site, along with favourite DJ’s cancelling this seems to be a common theme running through my holidays. The bit i did see looked as astounding as i expected.
