It’s online!!!

It’s taken a while, but we’ve made it… Our new website is finally online for your viewing pleasure.

The website has been in the pipeline for ages (yes, yes, we know it’s six months overdue!), but our own stuff always seems to take a back seat when clients show up with big ideas. Eight months in the making and a lot of fisty cuffs is evidently what it takes for a team of web designers to get their own online house in order! But it’s here now, it runs like a well-oiled machine… and we like it.

So delve in and have a look at our work. As well as ‘proper’ projects, there are bits and pieces in our scrapbook that didn’t quite make the final cut - but worth a look anyway. There are lovely D4 wallpapers to tart up your ‘orrible, glum desktops, Space Invaders to play (by demand from certain clients - you know who you are), blogs to read, jobs to apply for (now and then) and generally all things D4.

We’re gonna keep the website updated regularly, so keep checking back for our latest works and blog entries.

Autumn / Winter Photoshoot

Saturday morning and we’re down at the photo-studio with Tom Jackson, shooting the new Ciccia bag and purse range for their new Autumn / Winter collection. We’ll soon be using these on the forthcoming Ciccia website, as well as the new brochure and point-of-sale items. We started at 8am and kept going deep into Saturday night. Between shots we kept ourselves amused with the photographer’s ‘props’… which included funky retro chairs and a stuffed fox. After all our endeavors a beer and kebab on the way home seemed the sensible thing to do.

Numero Press Pass

We’ve just finished work on the new branding and marketing communication style for a specialist business improvement consultancy in Rotherham called Numero. The concept is based on moving their clients onwards and upwards. And it’s all in a lovely, striking pink… The colour needs to be spot-on, so we visited the printers to ‘press pass’ it to ensure it was.

They did a top job so we’re looking forward to receiving the goods all trimmed and stitched.

Found: New Celebrity Hendo’s Fan!

Having not long since designed and launched the new Henderson’s Relish website, D4 are now officially (as stated on the website) ultimate fans and self-styled guardians of Sheffield’s unique speciality brew. And it is evident we’re not alone.

KT Tunstall declarded her love for Henderson’s Relish at a recent gig at Sheffield’s Carling Academy, at which point a certain slightly tipsy member of the D4 team’s ears pricked up. Needless to say, within the hour Marianne had sweet talked herself backstage and KT was signed up as a fully fledged Hendo’s fan!

When you’re next in Waitrose, have a sneaky peek in their magazine, Waitrose Food Illustrated. “Flavours of the Month” is where you will find the stunning illustrations by Sheffield lass, Emma Dibben. Our designer Anna and The Dibben went to school together, and it’s said shared many a bowl of chips in the pub whilst skiving Sociology. Could this have been Emma’s inspiration?! Now based in Bristol, Em’s work has been featured in The Guardian, Time Out and Penguin Books to name but a few. Check it out on her website. Good on you Em!

The D4 gals ran the Sheffield Race for Life…

One fine sunny morning the D4 girls headed out on an epic mission - the Race for Life. A little (okay, a lot) of blood, sweat and tears later, Lamb, Pethen, Gold and Pickles crossed the finish line in a spectacular sprint finish - in under 40 minutes as well!
