Pitch won, new brand delivered.

We recently won a 3-way pitch to develop a brand for Rotherham’s Philford Design Engineers. A top firm, with an impressive ‘know-how’ and reputation in materials handling equipment. But… they had no branding, no marketing style, no literature and no website! So, the brief was to rectify that and communicate their knowledge, expertise and capabilities to the various industries they served. We produced some top-notch photography, brochures, stationery and a content managed website… the project was a pleasure to work on from day one.

Leading Commercial Law Firm get co-ordinated, meet HLW McCombie.

Our client (and Lawyers) HLW recently merged with McCombie, another law firm in Leeds. It was our job to make sure that the new company (HLW McCombie) was brought into line and co-ordinated with the existing branding style. We developed the new logo and a suite of literature, as well as a handy USB… simple, but slick.

Dare to be different, online campaign

D4 was recently approached by the good people at MK to make sure their concept for Meadowhall’s ‘Dare to be Different’ campaign became a reality. The concept, in a nutshell, was to develop an online interactive changing room, where users could experiment with various outfits, and mix ‘n match various items of clothing.

Working closely with MK, D4 produced vector illustrations of a girl who’d be the ‘clothes horse’. Once that was achieved we set about producing a changing room for her. We then got to work on illustrating over 50 items of clothing from photographs, ensuring that they could be easily dragged and dropped on to the model: including floral dresses, bridal gowns and shoes. Users are able to roll over each clothing graphic to select their choice of outfit and get information on the clothing brand and where to purchase.

The microsite went ‘live’ during the Dare to be Different fashion week and has been a huge success for Meadowhall… so everyone’s happy.

After building the website in Flash and testing it, Francis has now realised that Pencil Skirts really aren’t his thing at this time in his life. We tend to agree…

Metalwork & Jewellery Degree Show Catalogue

We recently designed and printed a small, but perfectly formed 64 page catalogue for Sheffield Hallam University’s Metalwork & Jewellery end of year degree show, which was held at Sheffield’s Yorkshire Art Space venue.

The handy pocket sized catalogue featured the (fantastic) work of 25 third year students and 3 MA students, it was well received at the well attended open evening and for the duration of the show.

Well done to all the students and lecturers, the D4 team were very impressed at the quality of work… we’re looking forward to next year’s show already!
