Painted Pigeon

I never thought I’d say…

….that a pigeon looks beautiful.

However on my internet surfing travels today I came across these wonderful photos of the flying rats as works of art.

At the Venice Biennale, a Swiss artist Julian Charriere and German-born Julius von Bismarck, came up with this project - “Some Pigeons Are More Equal Than Others”. They spray-painted pigeons and released them into the city.

Apparently it was done without hurting the birds.

I think if the pigeons in Sheffield looked a little bit more like this, I might consider letting one get closer than usual….or not.

What Others Are Saying

In their own way they are, I agree, and your photographs show that. I’m just terrified of birds!
