Thinbelina
Thinbelina is a small independent corsetiere, based in South Yorkshire, creating beautiful bespoke corsets by hand using traditional boning techniques.
D4 was initially approached to create a website for the business and to increase their client-base by raising Thinbelina’s online profile. We believed in the potential of these beautiful products immediately, and recommended a full branding exercise to do justice to their quality.
Our concept was simple: communicate the sensuality and desirability a woman feels when she pours herself into incredible lingerie. By creating a brand that women would connect with emotionally, using images they would want to touch, we set about causing a stir.
The photography is the key the success of the brand. As well as a website D4 created a series of postcards – a stunning showcase for the products. We selected a model, a location, a photographer, and art-directed the shoot.
The results have been stunning in every way – Thinbelina is now a talking point, attracting editorial coverage in the press and online, new business has flooded in, there is renewed vigour and enthusiasm for the products, and the website is attracting ever growing numbers of visitors.
